PROFILE

Emmanuel Cisco has now found a special place among Africa’s inspirational authors and speakers. While some parents in other parts of the world were helping their children to get through basic school peacefully in the early 90’s, somewhere in Liberia his mother was helping him to jump over dead bodies and dodge bullets so that he could atleast stay alive. He spent his entire childhood running away from bombs and bullets in Liberia where he lost many of his relatives during the civil conflicts. His father’s life and the war ended just about the same year. He narrowly escaped and found his way to Ghana alone while the civil war was still aborting lives and threatening dreams, and spent a significant portion of his youthful years in Buduburam, the refugee camp.

The road from the refugee camp to a university in Ghana was one of the toughest journeys any hunger-stricken refugee youth could dare to travel. But inspite of his struggles and challenges, this young man with absolute resilience graduated from one of the country’s top institutions of higher learning, Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA), as the Best Student - BSc Economics (2013) as an Albert Einstein’s DAFI Scholar, fully sponsored by the Government of Germany. Today, not only is he a sought-after motivational speaker, he’s also the author of an international bestselling book, Between HER WOMB & YOUR TOMB: How To Make Your Life Worth Celebrating.

As an icon of inspiration for many young people, Cisco strongly believes that there are so many young people in his generation who will not realize their true potential unless someone stands up to encourage them; and not by only words but by excellent example. Therefore, he has dedicated his life to being that example by pursuing his mission of HOPEHelping Other People Excel. He, along with his team, launched a National Youth Empowerment Campaign called "HOPE Campaign" on 31st October, 2015 at GIMPA with the goal: to have inspired and empowered at least 10,000 young people across Ghana by 31st December, 2016.

As a businessman, he's the Managing Director of Efforts Group Ghana (EGG) Ltd. and as a social entrepreneur, he is a co-founder and Executive Director of Youth Empowerment for Progress (YEP), a vibrant human resource development and capacity building organization. He also currently serves as a Liason Officer for Venus Oil Marketing Company. He owes his life and achievements-so-far to God through Jesus Christ.
